Digital (Push Button) Locks

There are 2 types of digital locks, mechanical and electronic.

Prices are very variable and depend on whether the lock is intended for light, medium or heavy duty use. Generally, electronic locks are slightly quicker to use, but require batteries to be renewed approximately annually.

Door Entry Systems

These generally involve an electronic keypad, card reader, proximity key or fingerprint reader on the outside, and a push button somewhere inside to operate an electronic strike plate for a mechanical lock, or an electronic lock. Alternatively, a magnet lock may be used, the advantage of which is the lock of moving parts.
